Explosions in the Sky :: Trembling Hands

It’s fair to say that Texas based four piece Explosions in the Sky helped pioneer the instrumental/post-rock genre and definitely boosted its popularity within the mainstream. Given that, it should come as no surprise that their 6th studio album Take Care, Take Care, Take Care (the last one being four years ago) is mind blowing. The first single, Trembling Hands, shows them covering new grounds in experimentation and sound, as well as adding a little vocal flavor into the mix. It is hard not to seem redundant within the genre, and after five albums it’s hard to sound different within yourself, however EitS manages to keep things fresh while maintaining the elements of their sound that made them such prominent figures in the scene. This is definitely going to turn some heads.
